Labour Market Reports

Local Labour Market Plan (LLMP)

Developing an understanding of the workforce challenges that local employers face can only be done with the input of employers, Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development, business associations and key community organizations. Through collaboration with these groups, the Centre for Workforce Development can help determine the best way to invest resources into local workforce development. This is achieved through the labour market planning process.

Business Conditions Survey

Statistics Canada has been conducting the “Canadian Survey on Business Conditions” since early in the COVID-19 Pandemic. The first survey was conducted in March 2020 with follow-up surveys done in May and August. The surveys were also conducted throughout 2021. These surveys provided insight into how businesses were being affected by the Pandemic. Unfortunately, it spoke to businesses at the national level and did not provide an understanding of what was happening at the local level.

CFWD has conducted similar surveys that ran in late August through September. It covered businesses in Hastings, Prince Edward and Lennox and Addington Counties.
